Frequently Asked Questions

Dressing appropriately for your training program, job interview, and first few weeks at work can make a big difference in your confidence and the first impressions you make.  Below are answers to some frequently asked questions about our Clothing Program -  if you need further assistance please contact us.

How do I make an appointment?
You or a referring agency should call Wings at 610-644-6323 to make an appointment.  A second appointment may be made during the year if additional clothing is needed.  Appointments are available Monday through Friday, with Saturday morning appointments available if needed. 

How long will my appointment take?
Allow about one hour for your appointment. If you are coming for scrubs, allow about 30 minutes.

Where are you located?
Our offices are at: 490 Lancaster Avenue, Frazer Shopping Center, Frazer, PA 19355 (near the Malvern Post Office) and 457 Birch Street, Kennett Square, PA  19348 (near the Kennett High School).  Click here for directions

Can someone from my referring agency drive me or come with me?
Yes. If your agency accompanies or drives you to the appointment, the caseworker and/or driver should remain at our location for the entire appointment, unless other arrangements have been made with the Wings Program Manager.

Can I come with another client?
Yes, group appointments are available - please contact the site Program Manager so we are staffed accordingly.

Can I bring my kids or a friend?
Please do not bring young children that need supervision or other adults to your dressing appointment, unless they are providing your transportation, as this is a time to focus on yourself.  However, your driver or older children may wait for you in our waiting area but should not interfere with the appointment.

Do you speak Spanish?
Our Frazer site has Spanish-speaking dressers, and our Kennett Square site has a bilingual Program Manager and Spanish-speaking dressers.  Please notify the Program Manager of this need when making your appointment.

What if I’m running late or need to reschedule?
Please call us at 610-644-6323 (Frazer) or 610-444-1446 (Kennett Square) if you are running late, need to reschedule, or need to cancel.

Do I need to bring anything to Wings?
No, but you will need to help us complete a little paperwork when you arrive which Wings keeps strictly confidential.

What is the process of getting clothes like?
You will be greeted by a Volunteer Personal Clothing Stylist who will first talk with you about your clothing needs, such as whether you need clothes for a training program, an interview outfit, or clothes for a current job and what the work atmosphere is like. She will also ask about your clothing tastes and sizes to help her design an appropriate look specifically for you.

Once your clothing has been selected, your Personal Clothing Stylist may help you with other needs such as stockings, shoes, a handbag, and accessories, as well as new foundation garments (bras, underwear) depending on current stock.

Will you have clothes in my size?
The Wings clothing closet contains clothing in sizes from 0 to 5X, all in excellent condition and in current styles. If your situation requires specific clothing items or colors, please let us know when you make your appointment. 

Is Wings a clothing store and can I buy clothing?
Wings for Success is not a store, we are a non-profit organization. Our inventory is compiled of new and gently used clothing in current styles and changes on a daily basis.  Our inventory is free only to our clients and is not for sale.

Does working with Wings cost me anything?
No, there is no charge to our clients for our services or clothing.
